How AI Creators Find Inspiration
Share
Hi, I’m Ashley Karr—a product designer, educator, and ethical AI advocate. If you’re familiar with my first deck, Inspiration Affirmations, you know I believe in the quiet power of daily reflection and the beauty of simple tools that help us reconnect with creativity, clarity, and joy.
But as I continued working at the intersection of design, technology, and human-centered AI, I felt something was missing in the conversations we were having in our field. Amid the rapid innovation, shipping deadlines, and product demos, I noticed that the deeper questions were often getting lost. Questions like:
- What are we building—and why?
- How do our tools reflect the people and values they’re meant to serve?
- Are we creating AI that helps people thrive, or just systems that optimize for efficiency?
That’s where the Inspired AI Cards come in.
A Tool for Thinking, Not Just Doing
Inspired AI is a set of creative tools, including workbooks and card decks, for AI professionals—designers, engineers, product managers, and strategists—who want to build not just smarter systems, but better ones. These tools encourage you to pause, question, and reimagine in ways that are relevant to and enhance your with with AI.
You can use them during a design sprint, a team standup, or solo while on a walk. However you choose to engage, these tools are an invitation to zoom out—to reconnect with the big picture in a field that often rewards speed over reflection.
Why I Created Them
Because I believe we need more than technical excellence. We need systems built with insight, inclusion, and integrity. I created Inspired AI not as a lecture or checklist, but as a creative nudge. A tool to help you access the part of your mind that knows how to ask better questions, even when the answers aren’t obvious.
These cards are for all of us who care about building AI with purpose—and who occasionally need a small, human reminder: you already have everything to build something meaningful. This is just your gentle reminder.
